Our Helpful Tips
To help you minimise damage and danger in the event of an emergency, there are several handy tips you can follow. We have listed a few of them here:
Burst Electric Hot Water Service
It’s recommended that you isolate the power source at the meter or fuse box as quickly as you can. A stop tap will be located adjacent to the hot water system. This should be turned off in a clockwise direction. After you’ve done this, be sure to call us immediately.
No Hot Water (Electric)
First, we recommend that you check the fuse box and make sure the hot water switch is turned on. If it is on and there is no hot water, a technician will be required to address the issue.
No Hot Water (Gas)
Initially, you should check that the gas cylinder is not empty. Instructions on how to relight the hot water service can generally be found within the inside panel of the hot water service. If you are unable to relight the hot water system, call a technician ASAP.
Gas Leak
If you suspect a gas leak, turn the gas off at the bottle immediately and call us directly. Attempting to correct this issue without the correct tools and knowledge can be very dangerous.
